Yoplait Frozen Smoothie

I have actually tried the Yoplait Frozen Smoothie mixes before so I knew they were quite tasty :)  My Blog Spark recently asked me to offer a giveaway and send me one too so of course I agreed. Honestly, when you can get these on sale and pay just $1, it’s a great value. The mixes already have the fruit and flavoring already packaged together (as opposed to my tablespoon of sugar-free jello to flavor my homemade smoothies).

When I was active in the heavy weight loss phase (meaning, not challenged by these last pesky 10 pounds), I ALWAYS had fruit on hand to help me curb the cravings for something sweet. I found that in the evenings, after dinner, I wanted something. It was mostly mental because I wasn’t hungry at all. Whenever I had that craving, I would make myself a smoothie (and the kids too – I can’t have one without the kids sharing).

When a craving hits, time is of the essence, right?  I tend to go for what’s quickest over what’s the most healthful option. So, knowing that I would want this sweet treat, I stockpile the fresh fruit when I can get it cheap. I then just cup it up and freeze for our smoothies.  Buying produce in-season is more cost-effective than purchasing frozen fruit. However, these Yoplait Smoothie mixes are great to have on hand because I am completely out of my frozen fruit stash. Plus, they are quick and helps you divert from those cravings regrets.

I have cravings in the evening once the kids are in bed. That is when I can finally think again. I try to ignore them the best I can, but it’s hard. I didn’t know Yoplait made a smoothie mix and can’t wait to check it out!

I fight cravings between meals while I’m at work. We always have unhealthy snacks here, and regardless of how many healthy snacks I bring with me, I want the junk food.

My cravings are in the afternoon, during rest time, or in the eve after everyone’s in bed. I love the smoothies idea. I usually try to snack on some vegies or fruit. But sometimes I really want something sweet so the smoothies would work well.

I always get cravings about an hour or so after dinner, and I too eat fruit as much as I can. I have never tried making a homemade smoothie, I love them though! I order them whenever I get the chance when I am out, but I would love to make them at home so I can control whats in them.

I fight cravings all day long really – choosing a healthier option over a donut for breakfast, choosing a salad over a cheeseburger, choosing a sensible dinner over a calorie laden one…

But for me, the worst time of day for fighting cravings is around 9 pm — that desire for chocolate/sweets is so hard to fight sometimes!

I seem to have that “I want something sweet craving” after every meal. I know it’s not hunger and more habit than anything. I keep little chocolate squares in the freezer and TRY to limit myself to one or two. It doesn’t always work.

After dinner and kids are in bed, when I finally get to sit down and relax with my husband, that’s when I feel like I need a snack. I try to go for fruit, but don’t always succeed.

We love smoothies in our house. We pick tons of blueberries in the summer, freeze them and use them in smoothies all year long. Yum! I could definitely use a new blender!

For me it is at night after the kids are settled. My mind always starts thinking about what there is sweet or sometimes salty to have. It is completely mental as I can’t be hungry from dinner. Sometimes I ignore it, sometimes I give in!!

I don’t really have cravings because I eat every 2-3 hours (meaning I eat six times per day including dessert at 7 p.m.). I just allow myself to eat when I’m hungry and eat some “bad” food once every day. I’ve kept the weight off for over ten years.

Cravings hit me mid-morning. I used to battle after supper cravings, but found that if I would brush my teeth after supper, I was much less likely to grab anything else to eat before bed. It was mental, but to avoid brushing my teeth again, I would only drink water and not eat anything else. Thanks for the giveaway!

For me the snack attack always stikes in the evening. After dinner is done, the kitchen is clean, the dog has been walked and my husband and I are cuddling on the couch. That is when the ice cream craving’s kick in!!! Doesn’t help that I found an $1.00 Edy’s coupon here not too long ago! Haha.

So what do I do??? I turn to the mighty laptop for my appetite suppressant COUPONING! Haha.

I have cravings all day long, but they are worse at night. The day cravings are tied into stress with job, and night, because I can finally relax and just BE. Then I want something to chew, popcorn when I am good, and pretzels or pita chips when I am not so good. WW snacks sometimes, if I am especially good!

I want something sweet following dinner. Ice cream is always my first choice but I try to keep that out of the house as I seem to be incapable of fighting that temptation. Fruit smoothies are a close second choice….yum! I can sometimes find frozen fruit at the Dollar Tree and that works well in my homemade smoothies.

Lately, my cravings are mid-morning, when I’m at work and have limited access to good stuff – the vending machine sure looks tempting. I’ve filled my desk drawer with an assortment of bars, at least if I munch, it is reasonably healthy. Used to be evenings and the best cure was to go to bed – if I stayed up I would munch – usually for no good reason.

I am a teacher so I eat my tiny lunch at 11:30 a.m. so by the time I get home around 5 I am famished. My hardest time to avoid snacking is while I am making dinner and helping the kids with their homework. Hubby is not always able to get home for 6 dinner so it is always a dilemma – eat dinner without him, snack, or worse!

Cravings….well once the 6 kids are in bed I kind of feel I deserve something, or when the kids are at school and the baby has just gone down for a nap…that is a good time for a craving :)

My cravings start as soon as the kids are in bed. My brain knows it can relax so my stomach starts growling. It would help if I made more of an effort to eat dinner with the kids but it rarely happens.

I have cravings anytime I am bored. I normally can stay occupied…but all else fails, especially at night…I go with a cup of hot green tea. And if it is really bad…I might paint my nails too. Can’t eat snacks when the nails are wet!

My worst craving time is about 3 pm at work. I usually try to talk a small walk around the building, but sometimes I cave into the craving. I do try to choose a smart snack. Such as pretzels or fruit.

I’m a college student and usually up until 2 or 3am every night finishing up homework. I always get hungry and usually munch on lighter snack foods, since I don’t want to eat a heavy meal and usually do not have fruit on hand. Or a blender, for that matter.

My biggest food issue at home is menu planning. When I do it, it’s fabulous, and I’m the envy of all my friends. The problem is sitting down to do it with everything else going on around me. It has been quite a while since I’ve done it, and my family can definitely tell the difference.
