Newspaper Coupon Preview: January 10, 2010

I was working on the coupon matches for Walgreens this week and saw some fabulous coupons coming up in the 1/10 Inserts.  As a reminder, the 2010 Newspaper Coupon Insert Schedule states we will receive two inserts: SS (one) and RP (one).

Some of the coupons I think will be worth acquiring on eBay or Clipping Services for a great sale are:

SmartSource

  • $.50 Birds Eye Steamfresh Veggies
  • $.35 on 3 Chef Boyardee Pasta
    Usually around $1
  • $1 Danimals
Get these at Kroger until Sunday for just $.88
  • $.75 on 2 Dole Fruit Bowls
With a $2 sale on these, it’s a great price for $1.50 (since Aldi is around $1.30ish)
  • $.40 Ziploc Bags

RedPlum

  • $.75 on 2 Ball Park Hot Dogs
  • $.50 Aunt Millie’s Healthy Goodness Bread
Purchase for around $.50 after coupon/sale
  • $.75 Quaker Rice and Multi Grain Snack
These usually go on sale for $1 making them FREE with coupon
  • $3 Tide Stain Release
Use this on the last day of the Kroger P&G Promotion (ends Sunday)

For a complete list of available coupons for this week, you can check Sunday Coupon Preview.  Are there any coupons you see that will go great with a sale?

I’m not sure how your family feels about hot dogs, but I love them. Unfortunately I didn’t realize how much fat was in the all beef, the only ones I will eat. I went in search of the fat free ones I used to eat couldn’t find them, but I found that Ball Park makes a really good fat free beef hot dog! For some reason you’re trying to lose 10 lbs, as if you need to, buuuuuuuttttt they are really good “diet” food when you grill them and let them char a little. Seeing that upcoming coupon made me think of that, and get excited!

Kristin, well you are too kind! But, I have never tried a fat free hot dog of any kind. Good to know they taste decent. Does your husband notice a difference? That’s the real test for me, it seems (him and my boys at least).

I live right outside Philadelphia, got the paper today and only had 1 SmartSource insert. No Red Plum. I guess the # of coupon inserts differs based on where you live?

Maggie, that could be specifically in the Philly area as I have heard they do have different inserts on occasion (not sure why it’s just the PA area but that’s where I’ve seen the differences). Did you get it delivered today or purchase at a store? Sometimes that makes a difference too.

I am in Dayton, and I had very few of the coupons in my paper that you mentioned. I did have Red Plum and SS. Very strange!

Terri, really? Did you get it delivered or did you purchase it? They were all in my paper (I used some of them already too). I have heard that the Dayton Daily News does have a different distribution for some reason too.
