I think that the Keebler cookies are included in the Kellogg’s $10.00 rebate, which would make it a great deal with coupons. These would be a great donation to my kids summer school!

Lisa, you are sooo right! I’ll update that. It looks like I may be visiting Kroger this week just to take advantage of the sale and this rebate!

My Kroger has a catalina deal that gives you $1 off your next purchase if you buy 4 boxes of Kleenex. Also, it is including the lotion Kleenex in this deal. There was a coupon for $0.50 off 2 in my paper and I used two. After the catalina, this made them $0.54 each.

I want a lot of the playtex hand saver gloves, I live in TN and am wondering how I find out if they qualify here. Does anyone know if these deals vary by region? Thanks, Jessica

Amp Energy drinks are also included in the 5/10 sale. They end up being $1 each. The best part is, when you buy 10 at one time, the catalina spits out a coupon for a free $10 Kroger gift card! I have done this twice already at 2 different stores here in the Metro Atlanta area. I used the 1st gift card to buy 10 more so my oop was only $.60 tax for 10, plus I got another $10 GC.

Mary, awesome! Thanks for sharing those. I’ve never tried those…does it give you lots of energy?

The shelf price on the Healty Choice meals has been $1.88 for months in central Ohio. I like them so I check every week. When the ad came out I was shocked to see they’d raised the price to $2.29 and included it in the “buy 10″ sale. With the $.50 off per item when you buy 10, it only makes it a sale of .09 from last weeks price. Still an OK price with the coupon I guess.

Brenda, no way!!! That is NOT cool, is it! I don’t think I’ve noticed Kroger do that before. I always notice the lame sales that are $.09 off, but never that. Boo!!

In Michigan, the Loreal shampoo and conditioner is B1G1. A few of our Kroger’s (Howell and Grand Blanc) double up to $1 – I know the one in Perrysburg, OH does as well. Combine this B1G1 with (2) $1 coupons and both are free!

8 Macomb Money Savers July 13, 2009 at 9:06 pm

Just an FYI:

My Kroger store wouldn’t accept the Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie coupon on the traditional Betty Crocker Brownies.

20 minutes and one customer service visit later, I had to return 4 boxes of brownies and find 4 Mega Event items to purchase in place of them unless I wanted to forfeit my $5 savings.

Be prepared!

I’ve never tried the Amp before… but I guess I will be now. lol

Also, don’t know if this has been mentioned. But Temptations cats treats are part of the 5/10 sale… making them $1 each. There are $.50/1 q’s from early in June. When you buy 5 or more of them… there is a cat deal for $1 OYNO.

The $1 cat for the Kleenex only printed once for me today. I went back and bought the same four items later this afternoon at several different stores and the cat never printed out… so it must be over???

Does anyone know if you can use a Kroger coupon with a manufacturer coupon on the same item. Like Target lets you do? I have went to Kroger’s website but can’t seem to find any info.

mommysnacks Reply:

KD – I have never seen an opportunity to do that, really. I’m gonna say no though since they are pretty strict about the coupon ratios. If you ask your managers, let me know.

KD,
Yes, you may use a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon on the same product. That is the general policy at any store.

The official Kroger and Dillons policy both confirm that. You may obtain one for your specific store by emailing them. Print it and take it with you, as it will help offset any confusion you may face in the checkout lane.

Alicia,
Thank you so much for that information on the coupon policy at Kroger. I did email them on Monday but have yet to receive anything. I just wanted to make sure before I tried it becuase at my Kroger store everything seems to be a problem when it comes to checking out. So I like to have my facts straight to make the process a little easier.

13 Steve - Yes Guys Coupon Too July 17, 2009 at 11:36 pm

Ok, so my wife has foot surgery…I have to do all of the groceries and cooking etc..not complaining, just telling a story…So now, Im obsessed with coupons and free deals at the store. What Did You All Do To Me?? My table is nothing but grocery inserts and coupons and my laptop and printer. So here is my question…Is there a way to determine what catalina deals there are other than a site such as yours? Will the store provide that info to people? Im guessing not.

mommysnacks Reply:

Steve, you get a great husband award (no reward but a good pat on the back from a woman who appreciates it :). I find out about these Catalina deals on my own by getting the Catalina coupons that share about the deals. The forum at HotCouponWorld also has a section for each store and if users get the notifications, they share it there too! Honestly, stores are clueless usually on the Catalina deals. HTH!
